Prof. Dipan Ghosh is an Indian theoretical physicist known for the exact enumeration of the ground state of a Heisenberg antiferromagnet known as the Majumdar-Ghosh model.

After 35 years of teaching in India’s premier university, the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB), Prof. Ghosh retired in 2010. He is currently a visiting professor at Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences at the University of Mumbai.
